Saphir is LinBerlin's white oud perfume — built to be brighter and more refined than a typical dark oud, without losing the depth that makes oud worth wearing. Where our other oud fragrances lean dark and heavy, Saphir opens lighter and stays layered all the way through, from the first spray to the last trace on fabric hours later.
It's called white oud for a reason: this isn't the deep, smoky oud character you'd get from something like our black oud perfume. Saphir is built to be cleaner and more wearable day-to-day, while still being unmistakably oud at its core.
How It's Built
Saphir moves through three real stages as it wears:
It opens with bergamot, saffron, and pink pepper — bright and a little spiced, nothing like the heavy oud you might expect from the name. As that settles, the heart takes over: oud, rose, and cedarwood, which is where the fragrance really becomes itself. By the base, it settles into amber, sandalwood, musk, patchouli, and vanilla — warm and layered, the part that lingers longest on fabric.
That's a lot of notes for one fragrance, but they're built to hand off to each other in stages rather than all competing at once. You're not smelling ten things simultaneously — you're smelling one thing that changes as the hours pass.
White Oud vs. Our Other Oud Fragrances
If you want oud that's dark and strong from the first spray, our black oud perfume is built that way instead. If you want oud blended with florals for a bolder, mixed character, The Falcon is the one to look at. Saphir sits apart from both — brighter at the opening, still deep by the base, but never as heavy as a dark oud throughout.
If you prefer the traditional format, we also make a white oud attar with the same character in concentrated oil form rather than a spray.
Who It's For
Saphir is unisex. The bergamot and saffron opening keeps it from reading heavy or overly masculine, and the rose and amber through the heart and base give it warmth without tipping sweet — it works the same way regardless of who's wearing it.
How to Wear It
Like all LinBerlin perfumes, Saphir is made for fabric and clothing, not for direct skin application. Because it develops through stages, give it a few minutes after spraying before judging the scent — what you smell in the first minute isn't the full picture. A couple of sprays on an outer layer, like a jacket or scarf, lets it evolve properly through the day.
Caring for the Scent
Spray from a short distance so it spreads evenly across the fabric instead of pooling in one spot. Let it settle before wearing. Keep the bottle away from direct sunlight or heat, like any fragrance oil. Test a hidden corner first on delicate fabrics, since oil-based scents can sit differently depending on the material.
